CloseTube Socks and the Afterthought Heel
In this workshop, you’ll learn the magical art of knitting socks from a tube—no heel-turning panic required! We’ll even show you how to cut your knitting to add the heel (yes, really, it’s safe and super fun!) and share tricks for knitting two socks at once-ish. Plus, we’ll dive into essential techniques like picking up stitches, measuring for the perfect fit, and much more!

REQUIRED SKILL LEVEL - advanced beginner/intermediate knitter

Homework:
Using 3.25mm needles, CO 48 sts using contrast colour
Join for knitting in the round, PM for BOR
Knit a sock cuff in your favourite ribbing (2x2, 1x3, 1x1) for 1 inch
Cutting the contrast colour, pick up main colour yarn and knit the round using the larger needles
Continue knitting in stockinette for 6 inches (7 total from CO)
Place live stitches on waste yarn and bring your finished homework, both sets of needles and other supplies to class.
