CloseA lovely companion to a supported spindle, this spindle bowl was hand-turned on a lathe using high-speed steel (HSS) chisels.
There is a slight tulip shape to the bowl, and extra material was left on the bottom to keep more of the weight at the bottom, to help with bowl stability.
After the use of chisels, a light sanding was done, and the spindle was buffed with walnut oil and beeswax.
